More team building

A windy day for today's challenge!
The quad had turned into a shark infested lake and, using 2 sheets of cardboard, we had to get our teams across it without touching the 'water'!

Great to see the cooperation, patience, thinking skills and teamwork going on here!

Pest Free Tawa

We have become involved in a new venture to make Tawa Pest-free. Today we had visitors form other schools around Tawa along with Darren and a team from Zealandia meeting together and planning how to track, trap, and gather data.

Exciting times! We will be laying tracking tunnels around school, seeing what's out there, and then setting traps for rats, mice, and stoats. We will also be putting out bird feeders to encourage more birds to Hampton Hill School.

Data Squares

In Maths we have been learning all about Data Squares - collecting and sorting information.

Under/Over - Team challenge

Here was a fun team challenge. Each team had to get their bucket of water from on end to the other using the cup to pass the water over heads and through legs - great for a hot day!!

Cup Stacking - with a difference

Team work again today! The challenge was to stack a pyramid of plastic cups together, add an upturned cup, and then pour some water in to the top cup - all the while using a rubber band with 4 strings attached to it (no hands!)

(Click on the photo for more - even the teachers had a go after school)

Hillarious and challenging- try this one at home!

Class puzzle!
